Replacement roof transformation in Essex

The Taylors in Essex said goodbye to their old uPVC roof and gave their conservatory a new lease of life by upgrading to our Ultraroof 380.

Out with the old and in with the new

It was time for the Taylors’ old glass uPVC roof to have a makeover, as their old roof was no longer working for its intended purpose.

Internally, the south-facing space was completely fitted with blinds because the area became very hot in the summer due to windows with a poor thermal efficiency. The Taylors also felt that there was a lot of wasted space; their conservatory is 34sq.m, so they were looking for a solution to turn this space into an all year round useable room.

At Ken Rhodes, we had the perfect solution for the Taylors. We replaced their existing roof with a solid Ultraroof 380 with Harvest Brown tiles to match their roof onto the existing frames of the conservatory.

Our Ultraroof 380 is the ultimate lightweight tiled roof solution that combines an authentic tiled look with a vaulted interior ceiling, in a bespoke design that can be completely personalised. This thermally-efficient design has a U-value as low as 0.13 and it is the most versatile replacement roof on the market.

The roof was glazed with two electric Velux windows with rain detection. Internally the whole roof was plastered with a pelmet around the perimeter with LED downlights to add to the style of their home.

The Taylors’ old space was transformed into a glazed extension for the cost and ease-of-installation of a replacement roof.
