Plan of action for the Jacksons
The Jacksons wanted a newly-restored conservatory to transform a traditional old gable-roofed timber conservatory that no longer served its purpose, into a modern-day dream. A new approach was needed to modernise their old space and to create an area that they could use all year round.
There were many problems with this style of conservatory, including the fact that the Jacksons were unable to use this space for the majority of the year due to it being draughty, and the underperforming glass making it too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter.
To transform this space into somewhere that the Jacksons’ can use all year round, our expert team at Ken Rhodes took down the old existing structure. We cut out the front walls and installed new decorative thermally efficient loggia columns. In addition, we then installed slim line EdgeGlide patio doors, A-rated uPVC windows and doors, as well as new uPVC roof glazed with Ambi Aqua heat-reflective performance glass.
We also did work internally by installing a newly plastered pelmet around the perimeter. We also installed LED downlights to give an inviting, warm touch.
These upgrades are all low maintenance, space enhancing, thermally efficient and allow for limitless views.
